What if I don’t want to enter my cell phone number to access my personal my Social Security account?
If you do not want to enter your cell phone number, you may choose to register your email address so we can send your security code by email. If you choose not to receive a security code by text message or email, you will not be able to access your personal my Social Security account. To ensure you receive the email with the one-time security code timely and it does not go into your spam or junk folder, you can add NO-REPLY@ssa.gov to your contact list.
