How do I access my personal my Social Security account if I change or lose my cell phone?

Views:
You register your cell phone number, not a specific phone. If your cell phone number does not change, and your new cell phone has text capability, you do not need to take any action. You will receive the text messages we send you on your new phone. If you no longer have access to your cell phone, you may request a reset code online. We will mail a reset code letter to your verified address. When you receive the letter in 5 to 10 business days, you enter the reset code online to change the cell phone number associated with your account.
