The Privacy Act protects you in three primary ways, providing you with the right to:
- Request your records, subject to Privacy Act exemptions.
- Request an amendment of records that are not accurate, relevant, timely or complete.
- Be protected against unwarranted invasion of your privacy resulting from the collection, maintenance, use, and disclosure of your personal information.
